About me…..

Okay, so this is me…. born and bred in the area, I cannot remember a time when I did not have dogs in my life. Not just our own dogs............. we have had the joy of long term additions to our family over the years. Winston(pictured) came to live with us in his final year after his owners, who were dear friends of ours, passed away. Nuka the Golden retriever, lived her final six months with us after her owners moved abroad. And Alfie, a small terrier who we were privileged to care for in our home, six days a week for seventeen years, spending his final year living with us permanently. Each one loved and adored as our own.

I first set up Dawn's Dog walking in 2007, and was the first dog walker to do so, as I could see that a trusted service was needed in the area.

In those early days, I had two Irish Setters, Hunter and Murphy, who were very much the centre of our family. Since then we have also had the beautiful Forest, who lived until the wonderful age of fourteen. Currently our Irish Setters are Parker, Bosun and the most recent addition, Tottie.

Apart from my first setter, Murphy, I have trained all of my setters in obedience and agility. Tottie is a pup still, so just starting her journey. The others have been hugely successful, taking me further than I ever dreamed imaginable. First and foremost they are part of our family, and adored accordingly, but they love to have fun and so do I! I train every day, participating in classes twice a week and walk from 5am every day. Life is full and wonderful with a Setter...and we get to have three times the joy.

I have been operating my dog walking business in the local area for over eighteen years now. You won't find my business on Facebook, as I really do feel that I should be concentrating on your dogs rather than putting out social media feeds every day.
